By ERIN MAXWELL -- Director Terry George realized that to bring John Burnham Schwartz's novel "Reservation Road" to the bigscreen, the success of the poignant drama would rely completely on a strong cast and their heartfelt performances. 

By ANN THOMPSON -- Mark Ruffalo looks strong in the trailer for Reservation Road, writer-director Terry George's follow-up to Hotel Rwanda. The movie's a three hander about how a couple (Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly) deal with the death of their child in a hit-and-run accident. Ruffalo is the driver consumed with guilt.

By TODD MCCARTHY -- A dramatic situation that should be wrenching is mostly tedious in "Reservation Road." Tale of two New England fathers, one of whom kills the other's son in a hit-and-run auto accident and takes the entire picture to fess up to it, deals with painful, elemental emotions, to be sure....it's hard to imagine auds flocking to this downbeat drama in any significant numbers.
